Alexa Marie "Lexi" Bartlett, 18, of St. James, Mo., entered the arms of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012.

Lexi was born Oct. 11, 1994, in Cape Girardeau. She attended St. Mary Cathedral School until moving to St. James her second grade year, where she was raised by her surviving parents, Jim and Kassie Nenninger Foust.

Also surviving is her father, Michael Bartlett; a sister, Kylie Bartlett; two half sisters, Chelsey LeGrand and Michaela Bartlett; and a stepbrother, Tristen Bartlett. Lexi was loved by her grandparents, James and Verlee Foust, Wayne and Carolyn Nenninger and Shirley Hollowell, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Lexi, college ambassador and honor student at John F. Hodge High School, was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone and always put others before herself. She was a cadet teacher, member of Tau Iota Gamma, winner of Who's Who in Leadership Award, All American Scholarship Award, National Honor Roll and was a cashier at Country Mart.

Her friends and family were such an important part of her life. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family and all her friends in the St. James School District.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with pastor Don Carson officiating.

The family requests donations to the Lexi Bartlett Memorial Scholarship Fund in lieu of flowers.
