JACKSON -- Alene Bollinger, 68, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1992, shortly after arrival at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born May 15, 1923, at Jackson, daughter of Otto and Annie Oldham Goehman. She married Roy Bollinger Feb. 10, 1940, at Jackson.
Bollinger was employed by Jackson R-2 Schools 23 years, retiring as cafeteria manager at West Lane Elementary School in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class, and taught in the children's department several years.
She was a volunteer with American Heart Association and Multiple Sclerosis. She was a member of Capaha Antique Car Club.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Harold "Butch", Roy Jr. and Michael Bollinger, all of Jackson; four daughters, Shirley Talley of Cape Girardeau, Beverly Nelson, Karen Smith and Mary Meyer, all of Jackson; a brother, Oscar "Pete" Goehman of Jackson; a sister, Maxine McIntyre of Cape Girardeau; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Rodney Travis will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
