Aleisha Lavonda Nabors-Ray, 54, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, July 30, 2020, at her home.
She was born June 3, 1966, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Cleveland Levy and Vera Mae Nabors.
She attended grade school at May Greene Elementary and was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She received an associate in business management from Metro Business College and went to Stage One Hair School.
She was a customer service representative at Southwestern Bell, winning several awards and accolades for sales and leadership.
She loved spending time with her grandsons, cooking for friends and family and loved music, especially Boys II Men.
She was a member of M.S. Society of SEMO and Missouri Council of the Blind.
Her legacy includes her husband, Terry Ray Sr.; daughters, Jarica (Charles) Reid, Synamin Nabors and J'myn Nabors, all of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Audrey Nabors of Milwaukee and L. Renee Nabors of Lawton, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Linny Reid, Kayden Carpenter, Jacari Nabors, Amarii Williams, lovingly known as "B.B.'s Boys."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Vernon Rollins; father, Cleveland Levy; brother, Michael Nabors-Collins; several loving aunts and uncles; and her beloved friend, Harpo.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A private service will be held Saturday.
