Aleen Yeager

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- M. Aleen Yeager, 83, of Perryville died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at her home.

She was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Perry County, daughter of Fred and Lorene Nifong Mattingly. She and Ronald L. Yeager were married March 29, 1943. He died July 11, 1995.

Yeager was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary and a former member of American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Yeager of Arnold, Mo.; two daughters, Gloria Hargraves of Altenburg, Mo., Sandra Zoellner of Imperial, Mo.; a sister, Milda Heck of Perryville; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30 to 10 a.m. The Catholic wake will be at 7 tonight, followed by the VFW Auxiliary wake at 7:15.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
