SIKESTON, Mo. -- Alda L. Roberts, 81, of Sikeston died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born July 11, 1919, in Warm Springs, Ark., daughter of Syrus Nale and Grace Carnes Bailey. She and R.W. Roberts were married June 18, 1944. He died July 24, 1981.
Roberts owned and operated Roberts Grocery at Fruitland, Mo. After retiring she did volunteer work at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau and at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce Roberts of Warm Springs, Mike Roberts of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ricky Roberts of Louisiana, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo., from 9-11 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Tarter officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
