PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alda Evelyn Guemmer, 90, of Perryville died Monday, July 5, 2004, at Perry County Nursing Home. She was born on Jan. 5, 1914, in Perry County, daughter of Edgar and Amy Dell Dempster Farrar. She and Leonard Carl Guemmer were married Dec. 25, 1930. He died April 19, 1967...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Alda Evelyn Guemmer, 90, of Perryville died Monday, July 5, 2004, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born on Jan. 5, 1914, in Perry County, daughter of Edgar and Amy Dell Dempster Farrar.

She and Leonard Carl Guemmer were married Dec. 25, 1930. He died April 19, 1967.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, LWML, Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a husband, two sons, a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville and on Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Longtown, Mo.
