Albion Otto Oscar Decklever, 80, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, June 3, 1994 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Jan. 8, 1914, at St. Ansgar, Iowa, son of Otto Decklever and Alice Duenow Decklever. On April 26, 1936, he married Dorothy M. Toms at Mitchell, Iowa. She preceded him in death on May 29, 1990.
He was owner/operator of a restaurant at Creston, Iowa before retiring in 1979. He also farmed in Osage, Iowa. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1986. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau and Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Osage, Iowa.
Survivors include two sons, William O. Decklever of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Robert A. Decklever of Rochester Hills, Mich; a daughter, Debra A. Tracy of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by two daughters, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Toeterville, Iowa, Tuesday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Dennis Hanson, assisted by the Rev. Miles White, officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery at Toeterville.
Friends may call at Champion Funeral Home in Osage, Iowa between 4 and 8 p.m. today. A "Celebration of Life" Service will be held at 10:45 a.m. June 12 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau. Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
