Alberta McClellan

Alberta "Candy" McClellan, 74, of Jackson died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at her home.

She was born Nov. 16, 1930, at Perryville, Mo., daughter of Charles and Esther Welch Adams. She and Patrick E. McClellan were married Dec. 28, 1973. He died Dec. 6, 1999.

McClellan was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, St. Ann's Sodality, Friends of St. Francis, Christian Women's Association, and was active in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Survivors include her mother of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a son and her father.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, with Monsignor Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
