Alberta L. Kunkel, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born June 29, 1923, in Waterloo, Ill., daughter of Fred and Mary Welsch Lang.
She is the wife of the late Robert Kunkel; mother of Daniel (Patricia) Kunkel of St. Louis, Gerald Kunkel of Seattle, Jane Kraus (Bud Becker) of Jackson; grandmother of Amy Kraus (fiance Jeremy Clark) and Curtis Kraus (fiancee Kaitlyn Depuy); great-grandmother of Allison Jo Kraus; sister of Eila Mae and the late Louis Lang.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. David Catholic Church in Arnold, Mo., with the Rev. Jim French officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to masses.
