ST. LOUIS -- Alberta Jane Groff, 68, of St. Louis passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at her home.
She was born June 5, 1948, in Kennett, Missouri, to the late Tom and Eithel Neldon Gross. She married Robert Groff on Sept. 28, 1991, and he survives of the home.
Jane was a retired waitress for Ponderosa in St. Louis. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Groff of St. Louis; four sons, Rodney (Tammy) Renfro of Sikeston, Missouri, Brian (Cynthia) Groff of East Lyme, Connecticut, Chris (Shelley) Groff of Melbourne, Florida, and Brad (Lori) Groff of Hawk Point, Missouri; three daughters, Lisa Renfro of Sikeston, Melissa (Scott) McCabe of New Knoxville, Ohio, and Clara Lynn Kimble of New Albany, Mississippi; three brothers, George Gross of Morehouse, Missouri, Steve Gross of Vanduser, Missouri, and Don Gross of Sikeston; three sisters, Vickie Gross Wallace of Granite City, Illinois, Gracie Alice Gross Stovall of Morley, Missouri, and Reba Faye Gross Somers of Sikeston; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Tom Junior Gross, Fred E. Gross, Grover William "Buddy" Gross and Roy Lee "Killer" Gross; and three sisters, Virginia Sue Gross Swan, Betty Ann Gross Holland and Emma Lucille Gross Dudley.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ken Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
