ALBERTA FURRY

Alberta Furry, 76, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Aug. 26, 1991, at her home. She was born Oct. 2, 1914, at Flat River, daughter of Willis and Effie Whitehead. She married Amel E. Furry on Jan. 18, 1934 in St. Charles. He died July 27, 1979. Among the survivors are one daughter, Joan Mackey, Boone, N.C.; one brother, James Whitehead, Gainesville, Fla; and two granddaughters, Karissa Teague and Alisha Mackey, both of Boone...

Alberta Furry, 76, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Aug. 26, 1991, at her home.

She was born Oct. 2, 1914, at Flat River, daughter of Willis and Effie Whitehead.

She married Amel E. Furry on Jan. 18, 1934 in St. Charles. He died July 27, 1979.

Among the survivors are one daughter, Joan Mackey, Boone, N.C.; one brother, James Whitehead, Gainesville, Fla; and two granddaughters, Karissa Teague and Alisha Mackey, both of Boone.

She lived in Cape Girardeau for 45 years.

Graveside service will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park, the Rev. James Sanderson will officiate.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
