Albert Robert Salvatore, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 30, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1925, at Chicago, Ill., son of William Vito and Madeline Marro Salvatore.
He and Rita Mae Adams were married on April 13, 1946, at Chicago. She died Jan. 5, 1986.
He drove a truck for Ozark Trucking in Chicago and later worked at the Sprigg Street Tavern in Cape Girardeau for about seven years.
Survivors include three sons, William and Al Salvatore of Cape Girardeau and Pat Salvatore of Scott City; three sisters, Frances Mistretta, Dolly Franco and Helen Domena, all of Chicago; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dongola Cemetery at Dongola, Mo.
