BENTON -- Albert Ray Sadler, 55, of Route 1, Benton died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1992, at his home.
He was born June 1, 1937, at Cape Girardeau, the son of the late Francis Sadler and Lottie McDaniel Sadler, who survives of Chaffee. On Aug. 13, 1956, he married Irene Barker, who survives of the home.
He was a brakeman for the Cotton Belt Railroad and a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, where he served in the U.S. Army. He also was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6407 in Scott City and the United Trainmen's Union.
Other survivors include four sons, Steven J. Sadler of Delta, Norman William Sadler of Jackson, and Ronald Ray and Albert Wayne Sadler, both of Benton; two daughters, Pamela M. Williams of Scott City and Vicky A. Eldridge of Garland, Texas; and seven grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Raymond Hannah will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with graveside military rites by V.F.W. Post 6407.
