SIKESTON -- Albert Merrell, 63, of Sikeston died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Sept. 15, 1934, in Qulin, son of Frank F. and Laura Thelma Shirley Merrell.
He was a plumbing, heating and air-conditioning technician for many years with William Plumbing and Heating. He also owned Al's Custom Back-Hoe Service.
He is survived by his former wife, Glenna Merrell, of Sikeston; two sons, Albert L. Merrell and Robert L. Merrell, both of Sikeston; three daughters, Linda K. Heuring of St. Louis, Peggy J. Hopper and Laura L. Denton, both of Sikeston; two brothers, Gerald W. Merrell of Memphis and Leonard R. Merrell of Crystal City; a sister, Wilma A. Flanigan of Granite City, Ill.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and grandson.
Service will be held at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, with Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Garde of Memories Cemetery.
