Albert M. Martin, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 15, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born July 22, 1922, in St. Louis, son of August Frank and Elizabeth Amanda Godefroid Martin. He and Wanda Imogene Brase were married Oct. 17, 1942, in Perryville, Mo.

Mr. Martin was a leadman at Superior Electric several years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. He lived in Kelso, Mo., 32 years before moving to Cape Girardeau.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Martin of Cape Girardeau; a son, Kenneth Martin and wife Linda of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Linda Fisher and husband Bob and Jean A. Cook of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, August Frank Martin; mother, Elizabeth Amanda Godefroid Martin; and a sister, Mildred Little.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday to service time at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Vicar Jonathan Petering officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
