ORAN -- Albert James Cook, 77, of Oran, died Tuesday, July 6, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 13, 1915, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Napoleon Dallas and Martha Ann McIntyre Cook. He and Opal Felty were married Jan. 16, 1938...

ORAN -- Albert James Cook, 77, of Oran, died Tuesday, July 6, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 13, 1915, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Napoleon Dallas and Martha Ann McIntyre Cook. He and Opal Felty were married Jan. 16, 1938.

Cook was retired owner/operator of Cook's Garage here more than 47 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School 27 years, and was a 32nd Degree Mason at Morley Masonic Lodge 5368.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rosalee Dillow of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Johnny Cook of Decatur, Ill., Willie Cook of Taylorville, Ill., Walter Cook of Thayer, Hadley Cook of Mammoth Spring, Ark.; three sisters, Ellen Dickie and Dora Bishop of Sikeston, and Esther Roberts of Harrison, Ark.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Jack Bishop will officiate, with burial in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
