SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Albert F. Dunger of Scott City will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eisleben Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel Sarrault will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today, and Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until service time.

Dunger, 80, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1998, at his home.

He was born June 1, 1918, at Fornfelt, son of William Albert and Hannah Sandvos Dunger. He and Josephine Barbareck were married Nov. 23, 1944, in Scott City.

Dunger was employed by Cotton Belt Railroad 38 years, retiring as a fireman in 1979. He was a member of Eisleben Church and VFW Post 6047.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, James Dunger of Seffner, Fla., Garry Dunger of Osborn, Jerry Dunger of White Hall, Ark.; two daughters, Ruth Bowen of Ft. Worth, Texas, Sally Koester of Festus; a sister, Doretta Albrecht of Stockton, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
