JONESBORO, Ill. -- Alan E. "Sox" Morris, 67, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born March 10, 1926, in Anna, son of Luther and Jannie Forsee Morris. He and Wilma Graham were married May 3, 1945...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Alan E. "Sox" Morris, 67, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 10, 1926, in Anna, son of Luther and Jannie Forsee Morris. He and Wilma Graham were married May 3, 1945.

Morris was a carpenter. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Anna VFW, Anna Elks, and veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Judy Stegle of Jonesboro, Jane Goins of Anna; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren, and nine great-stepgrandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Norris and Son Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Don Morris, Robert Goins and Dennis Cooley will officiate, with burial in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
