ANNA, Ill. -- A.L. "Greg" Gregory, 79, of Anna died Friday, Jan. 2, 1998, at Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
He was born May 10, 1918, in Carterville, son of Charles Elmer and Mary Leona Roach Gregory. He and Bessie Lewis were married Oct. 14, 1960, at Anna.
Formerly of Sikeston, Mo., he had owned and operated Sikeston Hearing Aid Center in Sikeston. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Gregory of Deltona, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Clutts of Lake Mary, Fla., Cristy Adams of Johnston City; two stepdaughters, Barbara Adams of Anna, Earlene Cyrill of Spartanburg, S.C.; two sisters, Velma Thomas of Marion, Vivian Walker of Scott Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two half brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 1 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marvin Butrum officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
