BENTON, Mo. -- Aileene Jeanette Zeigler, 81, of Benton died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 15, 1928, in Cool Ridge, W.Va., daughter of Frank and Mary Coch-ran Cook. She and Paul Zeigler were married Sept. 16, 1950, at Benton.
Aileene loved to quilt, play bingo, and belonged to Benton Senior Citizens. She was a secretary 40 years with Farm Bureau Insurance, retiring in 1999.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Alan (Donna) Zeigler of Benton; a daughter, Libby (Darrell) Klipfel of New Hamburg, Mo.; a brother, Elmer Cook of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Delcia Strange of Wentzville, Mo., Hattie Slinkard of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Ben and Josh Klipfel, Angela (Bryan) Baker and Michael (Ashley) Zeigler; and a great-grandchild, Conner Baker.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Normand Varone and the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery in Benton.
