PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Aileen M. Weinkein, 96, of Perryville died Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.
She was born Aug. 10, 1920, in Perryville, daughter of Joseph and Grace (Jannin) Stortz. She and Lester Weinkein were married May 10, 1941. He preceded her in death March 2, 1999.
She had worked for Wagner Electric in St. Louis. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include one brother, Francis (Wilma) Stortz of Ballwin, Missouri; one sister, Zita Marshall of Perryville; one grandson, Eric (Magdalena) Weinkein; and two great-grandsons, Felipe and Tomas Weinkein.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, John Weinkein; three sisters, Marie Stortz, Lorine Moran and Mary Ann Coleman; one daughter-in-law, Susan Weinkein; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Moran and Harold Marshall.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rich Wehrmeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Highland, Missouri.
Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Crown Hospice.
