THEBES, Ill. -- Agnes Lanier, 77, of Thebes died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
She was born Dec. 18, 1921, in Napier, Tenn., daughter of Robert Lee and Anna Bailey Durham. She and Mitchell Lanier were married July 20, 1943.
Lanier had been a teachers aide at Egyptian School.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Patricia Knapp of Thebes; a brother, Jesse Durham of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Rose Denton of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. The Rev. Jefferson Durham will officiate. Burial will be in Summertown Cemetery at Summertown, Tenn.
