Funeral service for Mrs. Agnes I. Burkemper, 79, 1908 Colonial, was held Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Art Basler officiated, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Burkemper died Friday, April 26, 1991, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
She was born Feb. 16, 1912, at Hiram, daughter of William and Mary Rainwater Westbrook. She married Herbert G. Burkemper in 1966 at Old Monroe. He died in December 1982.
She was a seamstress in St. Louis, and was also an artist. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Noelken of Ellisville, Dr. Milton Noelken of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Virginia Cates of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Emmett Westbrook of Salem; two sisters, Helen Rhoads of Ellisville, Nellie Kennedy of Festus; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
