SIKESTON -- Agnes E. McCollum, 93, of Sikeston died Saturday, March 8, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Feb. 26, 1904, in Olmstead, Ill., to Oscar and Bertha Clifford Mayer. She owned and operated the Charcoal House Restaurant on Highway 61 for 25 years. She married Hugh T. McCollum Sr., and he preceded her in death...

SIKESTON -- Agnes E. McCollum, 93, of Sikeston died Saturday, March 8, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 26, 1904, in Olmstead, Ill., to Oscar and Bertha Clifford Mayer. She owned and operated the Charcoal House Restaurant on Highway 61 for 25 years. She married Hugh T. McCollum Sr., and he preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and was a Gray Lady volunteer at Missouri Delta.

She is survived by a sister, Hazel Bickle of Tallahassee, Fla., three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Jim Calvin officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
