MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Agnes L. Darby, 82, of Marble Hill, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She was born May 9, 1936, in Caruthersville, Missouri, daughter of James and Thelma Phillips Wilferd. She and Manford "Bub" Darby were united in marriage Jan. 3, 1959, in East St. Louis, Illinois, and he passed away Jan. 26, 1998...
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Agnes L. Darby, 82, of Marble Hill, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born May 9, 1936, in Caruthersville, Missouri, daughter of James and Thelma Phillips Wilferd. She and Manford "Bub" Darby were united in marriage Jan. 3, 1959, in East St. Louis, Illinois, and he passed away Jan. 26, 1998.
She worked for Bonds Nursing Home in Marble Hill as an LPN and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her son, David Darby of Jackson; daughters, Shelia Darby of Fruitland, Sharon James of Simpson, Illinois, and Shannon Storz of St. Peters, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manford; parents; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in the Crader Cemetery near Marble Hill.
