AGNES C. BAUWENS

PERRYVILLE -- Agnes C. "Dude" Bauwens, 74, of Perryville, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 1992, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 23, 1918, in Perry County, daughter of August Peter and Anna Gotto Versheldon. She and William Edward Bauwens were married Sept. 3, 1938. He died Sept. 2, 1964.

Bauwens was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. She was a former member of Ladies Sodality Nativity Parish.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois Elder; a brother, William Versheldon; two sisters, Elizabeth "Sis" Versheldon, Lucille Young, all of Perryville; two grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Sam Mages will officiate, with burial in Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery at Belgique.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:45 a.m. Saturday. A parish, Daughters of Isabella, and Ladies Sodality wake service will be held at 7 tonight.
