COBDEN, Ill. -- Adrienne Barr, 64, of Cobden died Wednesday, May 10, 2000, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.

She was born July 12, 1935, in Chicago, daughter of Robert and Irene Bertrand Sopher. She and John Barr Jr. were married July 21, 1956, in Chicago. He died in 1991.

Barr was a medical records technician at Union County Hospital, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden.

Survivors include two daughters, Bridget Lopez of Cobden, Margit Barr of Makanda; three sons, John Barr of Belvidere, Michael Barr of Carol Stream, Jim Barr of Cobden; a sister, Diane Bertrand of Eagle River, Wis.; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Federico Higuera officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

There is no visitation.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements.
