ADREN CLEMONS

SIKESTON -- Funeral for Adren C. Clemons of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lester King will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Clemons, 95, died Sunday, June 28, 1998, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born April 11, 1903, in Adamsville, Tenn., daughter of John Mac and Daisy Garner Cooksey. She and George W. Clemons were married in 1919 in Tennessee. He died Oct. 28, 1955.

Clemons attended Smith Avenue Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, William and Jack Clemons of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two daughters, Virginia Kuhn and Bertha Kuhn of Lincoln Park, Mich.; a brother, John Cooksey of Sikeston; two sisters, Bea Richards of Sikeston, Reva Harris of Benton; 20 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four daughters and two brothers.
