CHAFFEE -- Adella Rose Scheeter, 73, of Chaffee, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1993 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1920 in New Hamburg, daughter of Otto Charles and Mamie Katie Westrich Scheeter.
She was a retired cook and helper at the Chaffee Nutrition Center.
On Feb. 19, 1944, she married Levi J. Scheeter. He preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1990.
One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, the Daughters of St. Ambrose and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chaffee V.F.W.
She is survived by one son, Randy Scheeter, Orange Beach, Ala.; two daughters, Donna Lape, Chaffee, Sharon Todt, Oran; five brothers, Ervin Scheeter, Benton, Eddie Schetter, Chaffee, Herbert Scheeter, Cape Girardeau, Alvin Scheeter, Danville, Ill., Kenneth Scheeter, Sikeston; five sisters, Arabella Stike, Jennings, Mo., Loretta Hamilton, Cape Girardeau, Orilla Pobst and Lois Eastwood, both of Chaffee, Ada Lee Hasenkemp, Benton; 11 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one great-grandchild and one step-great-grandchild.
Friends may call today after 3 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
