Addie Mae Russom, 81, of Scott City died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Southeast Hospital. She was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Illmo, Mo., to John Henry and Mary Elizabeth Lynn Smith. She married Lowell Junior Russom on Oct. 18, 1953, in Scott City. He preceded her in death March 22, 2011...

Addie Mae Russom, 81, of Scott City died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Illmo, Mo., to John Henry and Mary Elizabeth Lynn Smith. She married Lowell Junior Russom on Oct. 18, 1953, in Scott City. He preceded her in death March 22, 2011.

Addie had worked at the Ely-Walker Factory in Illmo and at the Florshiem factory. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Scott City.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Jim) Menz and Sheila Frakes of Scott City; four brothers, Loyd, Frank, Tom and Jim Smith, all of Scott City; a sister, Mary Lee (Joe) Davis of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Corey Menz, Matthew Frakes, Samantha (Tony) Freapane and Casie Stevens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Russom; a grandson, Hunter Frakes; and two brothers, Johnny and Hubert Smith.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
