JACKSON -- Addie L. Martin, 80, formerly of Jackson, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1994, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 31, 1913, near Blomeyer, Mo., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Atkins.
She married Richard C. Martin, July 1, 1932. He died July 24, 1980.
Martin resided on the family farm on Star Route Burfordville for 24 years. From 1957 to 1986, she lived north of Jackson on a farm.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson for many years where she was active with the Garrett Circle and the Fidelas Sunday school class.
Martin worked at the Deal Nursing Home from 1968 to 1973. For the past three years, she has resided at the Lutheran Home.
Survivors include a son, James "Jim" Martin of Jackson; two daughters, Mary Zeller of Jackson, Ann Fields of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; 10-great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren and a step-great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer and the Rev. Bill Ellis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Old Salem Cemetery near Millersville.
