Adam Joseph Armstrong Stecz, 36, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 25, 1985, in St. Louis to Frederick H. and Theresa L. Reagan Stecz Sr. He and Lauren Elizabeth Lacavich were married Sept. 29, 2018.

Adam received a bachelor's degree from Argosy University Online and worked at Plaza Tire Service in Cape Girardeau in sales for the last four years.

He enjoyed bowling, spending time fixing his car, fishing, shooting guns, traveling, gaming and spending time with his family. Adam was a man of God who loved his wife, family and friends.

Adam is survived by his mother, Theresa Reagan of Cape Girardeau; his wife, Lauren Stecz of Cape Girardeau; brother, Frederick Stecz Jr. of Cape Girardeau; sister, Tara Andrews of Chicago; maternal grandmother, Vonne Reagan of Cape Girardeau; nephew, Gabrien Sumpter; niece, Sophia Elliott; in-laws, Chris and Steve Mickel of St. Charles, Missouri; and Dan and Christine Lacavich of Bridgeton, Missouri; and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick H. Stecz Sr.; sister, Rachel Andrews; maternal grandfather, Gary Reagan Sr.; and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
