Adah Ruth Ford Wills, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, to Jesse C. and Henrietta Nitsch Ford. She and John C. Wills were married Oct. 13, 1951. He preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1990.

Wills was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She worked at Montgomery Ward 34 years and at Famous-Barr 11 years, retiring from both. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3838.

Survivors include a son, Jim (Yvonne) Wills of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Debbie (Jim) Knaup of Jefferson City, Mo.; five grandchildren, Kristin (John) Tucker of Cape Girardeau, Jamie (Mike) Keller of Scott City, Nick, Joe and Anna Knaup of Jefferson City; three great-grandchildren, Hailey Thorne and Alivia Tucker of Cape Girardeau, Jaycie Keller of Scott City; four sisters, Ann Schwab and Shirley Sweet of Cape Girardeau, Dorothy Griffith of Akron, Ohio, Bonnie Conrad of Orlando, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation in memory of Adah Ruth Wills.
