MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Ada Ridings, 93, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999, at her home. She was born Jan. 7, 1906, in Mound City, daughter of Hugh and Artie Walker Williams. MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Ada Ridings, 93, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Sunday, Aug. 1, 1999, at her home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1906, in Mound City, daughter of Hugh and Artie Walker Williams. She married Howard Ridings, who preceded her in death.

Ridings was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church in St. Petersburg.

Survivors include a niece, Bette Whiteford of Greenwich, Conn.; two nephews, Sonny McCormick of Charlotte, Fla., and Ralph Bowers of Albuquerque, N.M.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds. Dr. Larry L. Potts will officiate.

Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City is in charge of arrangements.
