DEXTER, Mo. -- Graveside service for Ada P. Cotner of Dexter was held Monday at Hagy Cemetery. The Rev. Clifford Wray officiated.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Cotner, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Ala.

She was born Jan. 17, 1913, at Dexter, daughter of Ambrose L. and Alullian Hull Pruitt. She and Harold Rudolph "Pete" Cotner were married Sept. 4, 1946, at Dexter. He died April 29, 1977.

Cotner had been an obstetrics nurse at Poe Clinic. She was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, William Cotner of Owens Cross Roads, Ala.; a stepson, Donald Cotner of St. Louis; two brothers, Dale Pruitt of Edinburg, Texas, Delmer Pruitt of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Ellen Blansett of McAllen, Texas, and Susie Griffin of Memphis, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
