Abigail Aguirre

DOWNEY, Calif. — Abigail Dalila Aguirre, 89, of Downey, and formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023.

Abigail was predeceased by her devoted husband of 66 years, Jose Luis Aguirre in 2019, and son, Joseph, in 2009.

She is survived by her sons, Robert, Tony, Adrian and Michael; daughter, Beatrice Elena; grandchildren, Danielle, Roberta, Anthony, Matthew, Jessica, Jolie, Romary, Debra Sue, Elizabeth, Victoria, Kellsey, Adrian, Robert and Michael.

Abigail was born Oct. 17, 1933, in Los Angeles. She and Luis attended Bible school in Nogales, Arizona. They served the Lord together for many years. She was known for her devotion to helping others.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Church of the Nazarene, 2601 Independence St. in Cape Girardeau, followed by a community meal.
