EAST PRAIRIE -- Aaron D. Givens, 90, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, May 5, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following an extended illness. He was born Dec. 27, 1901, near here, son of John W. and Edie Melinda Presson Givens. He and Magdalene Vaughn were married June 24, 1922. She died Jan. 31, 1992...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Aaron D. Givens, 90, of East Prairie, died Tuesday, May 5, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, following an extended illness.

He was born Dec. 27, 1901, near here, son of John W. and Edie Melinda Presson Givens. He and Magdalene Vaughn were married June 24, 1922. She died Jan. 31, 1992.

Givens had worked for Roberts Cotton Co., and Hausleur Cotton Co. He was a member of First Christian Church in East Prairie.

Survivors include two daughters, Emma Rowe of East Prairie, Billie Powers of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Revs. Dave Bowden and Martin Lucas will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
