CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Kim Zoellner and David Pobst, Notre Dame High School juniors, have received the "I Dare You Leadership Award."
They each received a $500 scholarship to attend the American Youth Foundation's National Leadership Conference to be held in Miniwanco, Mich. in August.
This award was first offered in 1941 by businessman William H. Danforth. Each recipient must exhibit personal integrity, balanced living and potential for leadership.
Zoellner is a member of SADD and the Pro-Life Club. She plays basketball and works on the crew for the annual musical.
She is the daughter of Diann and Michael Zoellner of Cape Girardeau.
Pobst is a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and will be on the lighting crew for the spring musical.
He is the son of Pamela and Melvin Pobst of Oran.
