VFW Post 5900 of Marble Hill and its Ladies Auxiliary arecently sponsored a poster contest entitled, "I Am Proud to be an Amercian" with kindergarten, first and second grades of the Zalma Elementary School. Approximately 56 students participated. They really did good work and we do appreciate their efforts. It was hard to pick winners, but when choices were finally made, three young ladies were winners...

Approximately 56 students participated. They really did good work and we do appreciate their efforts. It was hard to pick winners, but when choices were finally made, three young ladies were winners.

Second place winner was Chelsea Snider, $15; first place winner was Ashley Burchett, $25; and third place winner was Tiffany Fuchs, $15. Rose Shirrell, Americanism chairman of the Ladies Auxiliary, presented their checks.

A special thanks to their art teacher, Mrs. Jeanie Eddleman.
