Tara Koosak, a fifth grade student at Alma Schrader School and author of a book called "School-Biz Is," recent participated in the third annual Southern Festival of Books in Nashville, Tenn.
As part of the festival, several dozen authors, illustrators, storytellers and songwriters visited area schools. Koosak was a guest speaker at three schools.
The second edition of her book was released earlier this year. The paperback book, published by Stewart Printing and Publishing, is the first in what Koosak hoops to be a series called School-Biz Kids.
Her second book, "Boy Girl Daze Craze" is scheduled for publication next year. She is also working on a third, "Pun Running."
Koosak was a guest on a back-to-school television special on a fox-affilitated television station in Pennsylvania that aired on Labor Day.
School-Biz Kids is now a registred trademark and has been listed in the Official Gazette of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
