The Heartland Writers Guild will hold its summer writers workshop August 28 at the University Center at Southeast Missouri State University.
New York literary agent Evan Marshall will conduct the one-day workshop. Marshall, owner of the New York-based Evan Marshall Literary Agency, is author of the Writer's Digest Books best-seller, The Marshall Plan for Novel Writing. His workshop, which begins at 8 a.m., will include story plotting int he morning writing instruction and submission tips in the afternoon and an evening session that allows writers to pitch specific story ideas to the agent and obtain his feedback on the marketability of their book.
Advance registration (before August 20) is $55. Late registration is $60, if space is available.
