The deadline to participate in the 4th annual Heartland Writer's Conference is Saturday.
The conference is being held on Aug. 14 at the Holiday Inn Complex.
Those hoping to become writers and those who just enjoy good literature and poetry will have the opportunity to attend seminars given by professionals.
"This conference, as the one last year, will host an autographing session held on Aug. 13, at the West Park Mall," said Shirleen Sando, conference coordinator.
Twenty seminars on a variety of topics will be presented, and some featured conference speakers will include Robert Vaughan, Constance Bennett, Frank Watson and Jean Lorrah.
In addition to seminars, agent and editor appointments will be conducted on a first-come-first-served basis on the day of the conference.
A conference fee of $95 includes workshops, editor/agent appointments, autographing party, luncheon and evening banquet.
For information on the conference contact Sando at 888-5589.
