The driver of a car that ran off a road in Scott County Thursday morning was in intensive care at Southeast Missouri Hospital Thursday evening.

Lisa Bridwell, 26, of Chaffee, was heading north on County Road 204 six miles west of Scott City at 7 a.m. when her car ran off the right side of the road and overturned, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

She and her passenger, Daniel Bridwell, 21, of Chaffee, were taken by ambulance to Southeast Missouri Hospital. Daniel Bridwell was treated in the emergency room and released, said her sister-in-law, Deanna Bridwell. He only had "a bunch of scrapes," she said.

All she could say about Lisa Bridwell was, "She's not doing so good."

Neither wore seat belts, according to the highway patrol.
