Pam Vargas, Su Hill and Laurie Everett will participate in a Women's Leadership Panel today at the First Friday Coffee event held by the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce. The event was pushed back to the second Friday of July due to the Independence Day weekend.
Vargas is the director of research and grant development at Southeast Missouri State University. Hill owns Cape Girardeau restaurants Ciao, Bistro Saffron and Pho8. Everett is the owner of Annie Laurie's Antiques and The Indie House on Broadway.
Moderated by Bob Neff, chairman of the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce board of directors, the panel will focus on the women's personal experience with leadership throughout their careers.
With rare exception, First Friday Coffee events are held on the first Friday of every month at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau's Event Center. They feature presentations from sponsors followed by programs covering community, civic and business issues.
Sponsors this month are Big River Communications and Southeast Athletics.
Doors open and a Continental breakfast is served starting at 7 a.m. The program begins at 7:40 a.m.
