The 11th annual Womancare Conference will be held April 11 at the Show Me Center.

The conference theme is "A Time For Us." Women from throughout the region will participate in educational seminars, health screenings, beauty treatment and entertainment.

The conference begins with registration at 11 a.m. and concludes at 10 p.m.

A new attraction is a heart-healthy pavilion. Attendees will be able to sample low-fat food from a variety of food vendors including My Daddy's Cheesecake, Baskin Robbins, Edy's Ice Cream and Healthy Choice, Chick Fil A, Red Lobster and Fazoli's.

The conference features seminars on topics like "Healthy Snacks for Kids," "the Ten Most Common Money Mistakes," Women's Safety," "Building Strong, Long-Lasting Relations" and more. Seminars will run concurrently from 2 to 4 p.m.

Pamper Yourself exhibit booths will highlight the evening portion of the conference. Glamour treatments such as manicures, pedicures, facials, color analysis, massages, eyebrow waxing, hair styling, video imaging and skin condition analysis will be offered. Some are free; Others are offered at reduced rates.

Throughout the conference, attendees can take advantage of the following health screenings: blood pressure, cholesterol, height, weight, blood sugar, colon cancer, vision, glaucoma, posture and flexibility, osteoporosis risk, and hearing. Most of the assessments are free.

Drawings for door prizes will be held throughout the conference. Cost for registration ranges from $10 to $25, depending on the conference package chosen.
