WOMAN WALK CHAIRMAN

JACKSON -- Mary Meyer of Jackson will be the chairwoman of the local 1996 MS Walk, already scheduled for April 14.

The walk, sponsored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, will be conducted in 20 sites throughout Missouri and Illinois. Walk participants ask friends, family members and co-workers to sponsor them through donations. Four or more walkers may sign up as a team.

The 1995 MS Walk raised $210,000 to support multiple sclerosis research and to fund service programs. Those interested in helping with this year's event may call 1-800-628-1753.
