A Cape Girardeau woman said she shot at an intruder Sunday in her home at the 2800 block of Lynwood Hills Drive, but she missed, and the suspect escaped.

Cape Girardeau Police Department public information officer Adam Glueck said police received the call at 5:50 p.m. Sunday, and the victim said she heard someone in her home and retrieved her gun.

When she saw the suspect in her living room, she fired one shot and missed.
