TAMMS, Ill. -- An 85-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Route 127 and the Ullin Blacktop, north of Tamms, about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

An Illinois State Patrol spokesman said Eva Price, of Perks, Ill., was taken to Union County Hospital in Anna when her car, and one driven by Larry G. Rosson, 49, Jonesboro, collided.

Price was transferred by helicopter to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau late Wednesday. A condition report was not available by press time.

Illinois authorities said the accident occurred when Price, who was heading west on the blacktop, made a stop, then pulled onto Highway 127 in front of the Rosson vehicle, which was traveling north. He was not injured.
