A 36-year-old woman has reported being abducted by two men at a Cape Girardeau service station, then taken to a park and raped early Friday, police said.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., the woman pulled her car into the parking lot of Rhodes 101 Stop at 1008 N. Kingshighway, Sgt. Carl Kinnison said. She had come to a complete stop, but had not turned off the motor.
As she was sitting in the car, two men approached her car, police said. Both suspects got into her car, one on the front passenger side, the other in the back seat. The man in the back seat held an unknown object to her throat and she was told to drive her car to Cherokee Park in Cape Girardeau.
At the park, she stopped the car. One of the men began to rape her, she told police. She wasn't able to provide information about what the other man was doing at the time, Kinnison said.
As she was being raped, she kicked the man who was attacking her. This caused both men to remove her from the car and put her into the vehicle's trunk.
The two men then left on foot, police said.
From inside the trunk, the woman was able to push the car's back seat forward to crawl out of the trunk. She called police from her cellular phone in the car, Kinnison said.
Police are seeking information from anyone who might have seen the suspects walking in the vicinity of the 1000 block of Kingshighway or near Cherokee Park at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information may call the police at 335-6621 or Crimestoppers at 332-0500.
