Mrs. J has three loves in her life: her church, her home and her garden.
She volunteers many hours every week working at the church. Although her arthritis and heart problems have limited the type of work she can do, Mrs. J has found lots of ways to continue helping.
Mrs. J owns a very small, old house, which she keeps spotless. She and her husband saved for years to buy the home and Mrs. J is proud of her home.
Mrs. J also loves her garden. She tends her vegetables and then cans and freezes the crops to use throughout the year.
While Mrs. J puts on a brave front for her friends at church, the truth is she struggles every month to pay her bills. She often skips groceries in order to pay for her prescription medication. A donation to help her pay the pharmacy bill would be a welcome gift.
She also would appreciate a donation to help pay her utility bill during the cold months.
Mrs. J needs a new long, warm robe, size 18. She prefers red or blue. She also would adore a queen-size, white chenelle bed spread.
The gift that would be most appreciated by Mrs. J would be a microwave oven. She could use the microwave to warm meals delivered by the nutrition center and also to reheat the leftovers she meticulously saves.
